Hi, Mssr. Snape. There's a lot to like about this song - a nice write, and some clever (and silly) bits of production that make this a fun listen. I'm not sure why the title isn't "Overdrive" - I think it's a better title. Glad you didn't give up on it. Sure, there are places it could use additional work, but sometimes it's best just to leave it alone for a while.
The last 2 songs were written with Nashville staff writers , or were at one time. Everybody knows the climate going on loss of jobs. This is written on my own, Stripped down , Acoustic guitar part , Violin part session player , BGV .She must of sent 25 stems on that lol
Yep Music Tech Guy knows his stuff and is a very good teacher. I mostly use Studio One Pro but I do Logic Pro as well. They are both fine DAWS. I have always liked the Drummer in Logic and now it's even better. I have not got to play too much with the new piano and bass but I am sure I will like it as well. I also use EZ Bass and EZDrummer3 and EZKeys2. However what is really good with the Logic stuff is you don't have to buy a bunch of midi packs. They have put a lot of thought into the design of these new instrument and they sound great.
Hi, Randy. You may want to edit your initial post so the SoundCloud link is there. Otherwise people may not scroll down to find it. Nice track. But I'm puzzled. You wrote:

If you create a search similar to the 'Search familiar song' feature, the StylePicker can retain and place the current loaded Style at the top position of the StylePicker results by using the Set as Prototype option from the StylePicker or the 'Search for similar styles' from the main Chord Sheet. This works in both the regular StylePicker and the MultiPicker. . This search option will return similar styles to the filters of the loaded style and will keep the loaded style in the top position as long as the search filters remain the same.
thanks charlie. maybe im lazy but i was hoping to avoid the repeat editing... theres a ton of claps..lol. looks like midi is only way so i can delete all claps easily.. happiness. om
If you want to retain the original key or style, then use File > Save Song as ... and save the file under a new name. If you don't care if the original key or style changes, then use File > Save, F2 or Control S. By the way, a better place to ask how-to-use questions would be the +++ Band-in-a-Box for Windows +++ or +++ Band-in-a-Box for Macintosh +++ forum for whichever version you use. The FAQ and Knowledge Base forum section is mainly used by PG Music Sales and Support to publish support and sale lines frequently asked questions.
Logic pro x 11 has got the chord track back. Does anyone have an idea how to get the chord names from BIAB into logic's chord track. I just tried the new session player and am not particularly impressed.
Ronnie...Beautiful and inspiring! one of your finest melodies I think and what a joyful expression...'cancer free" is probably one of the best things a person can hear...tremendous song indeed!
Peter and Leon...really well done production...I loved the vocals....the harmonies were cool...and the guitar work was stellar (of coarse!)...reminded me of the great rock tunes of the late 60's early 70's!
Marty (and Dave)...now that was some great gritty blues/rock! the riff that Dave puts in really really makes the song pop! (it will be immediately recognizable from this point on)...super mix and production...just a stellar track all round!
I don't know the first book but I have a copy of This Business of Music by Shemel & Krasilovsky 4th Edition. Not sure if it's the same book as you're referring too. That is a book everyone who's serious about this business should have on their shelves and should have read at least once, to get a good understanding of the basic business practices in the music industry. It's handy to refer back to it on occasion as well. I actually had 2 copies at one time but gave one of my copies to a young musician who was asking me a lot of questions so I figured he would benefit from the book and I didn't need two copies on my shelf. I think This Business of Music is out of print now.
David C: for what it's worth, I think you're (mostly ) right. It's not my best work, this one. And yes, there is a particularly bad chord progression at some point, during it (where it goes unxpectedly into D major again), where I think I just wrote down the wrong chord, full stop. So ... this will go under the: "experiments" folder, for now, until I deal with it, at least. It has potential, and I disagree that a melody is always needed, but this one does need a little more crafting, as you say - that much, I agree with Thanks for your honest and perceptive comments Marty: you're kind. Extremely kind Thank you so much. As I wrote above, to David, I was more or less experimenting with this one, and it shows. But ... the next one, which I hope to post soon, will hopefully be a different matter, haha. Not saying more, for now, in case I jinx it, haha, but ... let's see Thanks so much, once more! P.S. I've just noticed your kind comment on YouTube, Marty ... thank you, and shhhh!!! haha That one will be ready for posting, soon ... as soon as I add some more reverb on the trumpet, perhaps?
