The best just got better A New, FREE Norton Music Fake Disk #2 upgrade is available to anyone who purchased Fake Disk #2 (The Pop/Rock Fake Disk) from Norton Music. Thousands of new styles have been added to BiaB since we first compiled this e-disk back in the 1990s. Plus, we are much better at making these disks than we were back then. We spent well over a year revising this e-disk, assigning new styles, and doing many other things to make the chord progressions portray the songs more faithfully. It's a much better product now, and we are offering this update to you for free. WHY FREE? Because we think it's the right thing to do. As usual, the new styles are MIDI, but the BiaB robot should suggest a Real Style for most of these songs. Why MIDI? If I assigned a Real Style, BiaB would not recommend a MIDI style, so choosing MIDI is the only way to get both MIDI and REAL suggestions to you. New Feature Request…editing in new bb tracks view. Here's the problem. i genned a rd other day. i liked it except the clap sound. the problem is the clap sound occurs too many times in the track… very laborious to delete every occurrence… so a suggestion…new feature…pattern matching… a possible solution… ..user highlights the section of track to delete…and clicks on a 'delete all occurences in track' button. ..in programming code bb analyses the plus/minus integer sample values.. to create a 'base pattern'...then ...bb removes all occurrences in the track that pattern match the user's highlighted track section..in this case a clap sound. in the past of course i would use a midi track and a piano roll to delete each clap occurrence.. but i just like the quick new genning feature in the new bb tracks view. happiness. om
Logic pro x 11 has got the chord track back. Does anyone have an idea how to get the chord names from BIAB into logic's chord track. I just tried the new session player and am not particularly impressed.

It's never worked for me. It should work like Reaper's smooth seek, this will transition smoothly from one bar to another. Biab has midi chord input detection (Window > MIDI Chord Detection), if Biab could smooth seek it could be used as a live arranger right NOW, simply by going to that same chord region in the chord sheet that is inputted with a midi keyboard, let alone conductor working properly. To do any of this now you are best to use the BBPlugin in Reaper as you can use midi input/foot pedal to go to any section. How Reaper works now with Instructions in the Plugin makes it even easier as it will play the wma/wav source files directly and transition smoothly from any bar to any bar. You can even have more than one Plugin to give you a lot more playing material and chords that you are normally limited to 255 bars in the main Biab app, having Tabs in Reaper you can have as many songs as you like that you can instantly change to. I am always looking for RealTrack sets that provide a variety of tracks that are complementary and can be switched out to make different song sections lift or drop or just sound different while still being basically compatible. I hear this in a lot of modern pop songs. Gone are the days when the simple A and B RealTrack options will provide adequate variety in a song! And yes, I am aware that a small number of styles have more than just A and B parts but these are few and far between! So, my suggestion is for PGM to invest some time to curate this enormous collection of tracks and styles to suggest to me several options that would make a compatible and interesting style change for my bridge or chorus! I think this would be a powerful new feature and not too difficult to implement!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
